The AQUARIUS Type 80N is an electrolytic gas welding machine with a gas flow rate of 50 l/h.
The splitting of water into hydrogen and oxygen produces oxyhydrogen gas, which in the flame
is fired at 3200 °C. As this high temperature is only required for platinum work, the
Flame temperature raised to 2400 °C by enriching the gas with flux (in the booster)
reduced. The flux also enables low-oxygen brazing, which, together with the fine
The adjustable flame ensures optimum working conditions for all soldering tasks.
The devices feature a safety concept that has been developed and tested over decades:
1. Flashback arrestor in the burner handpiece.
2. Temperature-controlled backflow preventer with a second flame-retardant device housed within the casing.
3. Safety pressure limiter which, in the event of a pressure switch failure, shuts down the device via a 2-pole circuit.
The operating pressure of the device is between 0.18 and 0.2 bar; the safety pressure limiter
switches the device off at 0.3 bar. This process is indicated by an audible warning signal.
4. Temperature monitoring of the generator by means of a thermostat switch.
5. Apart from small quantities in the generator and in the hoses, only as much gas is produced as is actually consumed.
