Soldering iron Aquarius Typ 80 E

The Aquarius Typ 80 E is an electrolytic gas welding machine with a gas flow rate of 50 ml/min. The splitting of water into hydrogen and oxygen produces oxyhydrogen gas, which is burnt in the flame at 3200°C. As this high temperature is only required for platinum work, the flame temperature is reduced to 2400°C by enriching the gas with flux (in the booster). The flux also enables low-oxygen brazing, which, together with the finely adjustable flame, ensures optimum working conditions for all brazing operations. The unit features a safety concept that has been developed and tested over decades:
1) Flashback arrestor in the torch handpiece.
2) Flame arrestor in the outlet fitting.
3) Safety pressure limiter which, in the event of a pressure switch failure, shuts down the unit at two poles. The operating pressure of the unit is between 0.18 and 0.2 bar; the safety pressure limiter shuts down the unit at 0.3 bar in the event of a failure of the actual pressure regulator.
4) Apart from small quantities in the generator and in the hoses, only as much gas is produced as is actually consumed.
5) Temperature monitoring of the generator via a thermostat switch.
