NIDEK ’s new range of non-contact tonometers launches with the NT-1p, which includes optical pachymetry. A new feature is the space-saving design with an individually adjustable screen. This allows the device to be placed against a wall or even in a corner.
NT-1 and NT-1e are now also available, rounding off the product range.
Whilst the device measures the test subject’s intraocular pressure automatically – without any prior calibration – staff can already attend to other tasks – such as measuring spectacles. If desired, the test subject is guided simply through the measurement process by the voice prompts.
Corneal thickness is measured non-contact and optically (NT-1p only). These pachymetry values are automatically incorporated into the print values as a correction.
