Eye test device Oculus Binoptometer® 4P

A vision testing device in a class of its own
The Binoptometer® 4P is a professional eye-testing device designed, amongst other things, for vision testing in accordance with G25, G26, G37, G41, DIN EN ISO 9712, FeV and Class 1 and 2 pilot standards.
Eye test device for assessing contrast sensitivity and, optionally, twilight vision and sensitivity to glare.
- Innovative test presentation
Eye tests are conducted via a high-resolution micro colour display.
This enables an almost unlimited range of vision tests to be displayed.
- Unbeatable
Testing of contrast sensitivity and, optionally, of the
Twilight vision and sensitivity to glare in a single device.
- Ergonomic
Convenient height adjustment with a stroke of 10.5 cm.
The viewing angle is also continuously adjustable down to a 35° downward angle
and thus enables ergonomic testing with any pair of spectacles.
Visual acuity test
Including Landolt rings (in accordance with DIN EN ISO 8596 and DIN 58220 Parts 5 and 6), numbers, letters, E-hooks and ETDRS charts, as well as optional child-friendly visual symbols.
Colour vision test
A wide selection of different colour charts for rapid screening for colour vision deficiency. As the screen is calibrated to the exact colour temperature, optimal colour reproduction is guaranteed.
Binocular test
The binocular tests are generated using a modern LCD shutter system, which closely mimics natural vision. A wide range of stereo and phoria tests also ensures reliable assessment of binocular functions.
Contrast sensitivity test
A programme for contrast sensitivity testing in accordance with the current Driving Licence Regulations (FeV) is integrated. In addition, contrast sensitivity testing can also be selected at further visual acuity and contrast levels. Optionally, contrast sensitivity can be tested using Landolt rings, letters and numbers at various visual acuity levels.
Testing of peripheral visual field perception
Visual perception is tested at seven points in the right and left fields of vision. Fixation is monitored via a changing fixation mark in the centre of the test screen.
Lenses for use with prescription glasses
In the event of abnormal visual acuity readings or existing asthenopic symptoms, the use of corrective lenses in the range from +4.5 dpt to -3.5 dpt can be employed to check whether there is any undiagnosed (latent) hyperopia (up to +1.5 dpt), age-related long-sightedness (presbyopia) or short-sightedness (myopia), particularly night myopia, is present.
