Fully automated analysis of the corneal endothelium
The endothelial microscope CEM-530 clearly illustrates the analysis of endothelial cells, including histograms showing variations in shape and size (pleomorphism and polymegathism).
Optimal pre-selection
When measuring at one of 15 possible fixation positions, 16 images are captured in each instance, and the software automatically selects the image best suited for analysis. A high-quality image provides the best foundation for high reproducibility of measurement results and forms the basis for an objective analysis of findings.
Paracentral endothelial microscopy
In addition to central and peripheral endothelial microscopy, the CEM-530 also analyses paracentral images. This means a total of 15 different imaging positions are available: 1 central position, 8 paracentral positions and 6 peripheral positions.
The combination of central, paracentral and peripheral images provides a comprehensive overview for the morphological and quantitative analysis of the endothelial cell layer and individual cells. Furthermore, the analysis of, for example, endothelial cell density and the proportion of hexagonal cells is more accurate and reproducible, as all imaging positions from a single examination serve as the basis.

Automatic analysis within two seconds
Rapid image analysis enhances efficiency in your practice. Using the selected image, the software automatically analyses the endothelium within two seconds. Differences in the endothelial structure are displayed on the screen (photograph, details such as number, size and shape). The automatic analysis can also be adjusted manually.
